This is not a hate post. This is not an attack. This is simply what happened when I ordered from jivsport.com — and why I think every potential customer deserves to know about it before clicking “Buy.”
Finding JIV Sport
I was looking for quality figure skating clothing online. Not an easy niche to shop in — most mainstream sportswear brands don’t cater specifically to skaters. So when I found JIV Sport, I was genuinely interested.
The website is well-designed. Products are categorised clearly. They have leggings, jackets, accessories, even a book written by the founder. The brand story is compelling — created by a former figure skater, made in Europe, designed specifically for movement on and off the ice.
It ticked every box. Looked like a brand that actually cared about its craft.
I spent time browsing. Read through product descriptions. Checked the sizing guides. Eventually, I chose what I wanted, added it to my cart, and went through checkout.
Payment processed immediately.
Order confirmed.
I was genuinely excited.
Day One to Day Seven — Patience
After placing the order, I expected to receive a shipping confirmation within a few days. Most online stores dispatch within 3 to 5 business days. I gave JIV Sport the benefit of the doubt.
Day 3 — nothing.
Day 5 — nothing.
Day 7 — still nothing.
No shipping email. No tracking number. No update of any kind.
I told myself international shipping takes time. Maybe they were busy. Maybe there was a delay in processing. I stayed calm and kept waiting.
Day Eight to Day Fourteen — Concern
By the second week, I was starting to worry.
I checked my spam folder multiple times, thinking maybe an email had slipped through. Nothing there either.
I went back to the website. Looked for a way to track my order directly. Found no self-service tracking option that gave me any useful information.
I looked up their contact details and decided to reach out to their support team.
I wrote a calm, polite email. Introduced myself. Provided my order number. Explained that I hadn’t received any shipping update. Asked if they could tell me the status of my order or provide a tracking number.
Then I waited.
Day Fifteen Onwards — Silence
No response came.
Not on day 15. Not on day 16. Not on day 17.
I followed up with another email. Kept it professional. Simply asked for an acknowledgement — even just confirmation that they had received my message and were looking into it.
Still nothing.
No reply. No automated acknowledgement. No customer service ticket number. Nothing.
By day 20, I had sent multiple emails and received zero communication from JIV Sport after my initial order confirmation.
My order had not arrived. No refund had been issued. And the brand had gone completely dark.
What This Experience Tells Me
I want to be fair. I cannot say with certainty what happened on their end. Maybe there are genuine logistical issues. Maybe my emails went to the wrong place. Maybe there is an explanation I am not aware of.
But here is what I can say with certainty:
A legitimate business — regardless of size, regardless of location — does not go silent on a paying customer for 20 days. A legitimate business responds. A legitimate business at minimum, acknowledges that something has gone wrong and communicates with the person who trusted them with their money.
That did not happen here.
I paid. I never received my goods. I reached out multiple times. I was ignored every single time.
That is not a shipping delay. That is a failure of basic business ethics.
Practical Advice If You’re Considering JIV Sport
I genuinely hope my experience is an isolated incident. Maybe other customers have had perfectly smooth transactions. I cannot speak for anyone else.
But I can share what I would do differently — and what I’d recommend to anyone thinking of ordering from jivsport.com:
Do your research before paying.
Search for recent reviews on independent platforms — Trustpilot, Google Reviews, Reddit. Look specifically for recent reviews, not just older ones. Customer service quality can change significantly over time.
Use a credit card for payment.
This is the single most important piece of advice I can give. Credit card chargebacks exist precisely for situations like this — where you’ve paid for something you never received and the seller is unresponsive. Debit cards, bank transfers, and certain digital wallets offer far less protection.
Save every piece of documentation.
Order confirmation email, payment receipt, screenshots of the website at the time of purchase, records of every support email you send. If you need to file a dispute, this evidence matters.
Don’t wait too long to act.
If your order hasn’t arrived and the seller isn’t responding, contact your bank sooner rather than later. Most banks have a time window for raising disputes. The longer you wait, the harder it can become.
Consider alternatives.
There are other figure skating clothing brands out there. If a purchase is high value and the brand’s customer service track record is unclear, it may be worth looking at options that have more established and verifiable customer support.
Final Words
I wanted this to be a positive review. I wanted to come back here and tell you about the quality of the products, how well they fit, how worth it the price was.
Instead, I’m sitting here 20 days later with no package, no refund, and no response from the brand.
Maybe JIV Sport has great products. Their website certainly suggests so. But a product you never receive is worth nothing. And a company that takes your money and then disappears is not a company worth trusting — no matter how good their branding looks.
I hope this helps someone before they make the same mistake I did.
Stay informed. Shop smart. Protect your money.
Everything written here is based on my own personal experience with jivsport.com. I have no affiliation with any competing brand. I am simply a customer who paid for an order that never arrived.
